Has
it been a decade already since my last update? I was busy and I still am busy
right until about few hours ago. Was and am busy with work. Yes, I’ve been
hired about a month ago. About 3 more days, it will be my first full month
working. To be honest, I enjoyed my job even though I have been complaining
about working on alternate Saturdays and as for today, I was working half day
as well. Yes, I rant about it every now and then, but it’s hard for me to say
that I don’t like this job. In fact I love it. Not only I have the best
manager, I have great colleagues! It is of something that I wanted to do.
What’s more to ask? I mean great manager, colleagues, and great job scope. I
get to learn new stuff kinda everyday and I get to go out to events.
For
almost a month of working here, I’ve attended 2 kinda major events. First were
Nom Nom Media Networking Party and then Nom Nom Food Festival
(#nomnomfoodfest), which was held yesterday at Sunway Pyramid. Yes, both by
Nuffnang & Churp Churp. No pictures taken on Food Festival because it was
crowded! Like sardines. I never really
like crowded places, I feel uneasy and insecure. Not gonna mention about
what my job scope is like, but it’s a bit of everything. Everything that
consists of Social Media, events, and stuff that can be incorporated to that.
Besides talking about my new job, here are some updates on FOOD! Oh yeah!
Nom Nom Media Networking Party
So
recently, Daddy and the whole family (exclude my younger brother & me! L) went around Petaling
Jaya area for food. If you are wondering where were the both of us, we were
working as part-timers for Perfect Livin’13. It was a hell lot of fun besides
the OT. I got to meet people from almost every part of Malaysia. Alright, back
to food. So Daddy was driving around searching for this Ipoh Chicken Rice/Noodles.
After driving for quite a while under the scorching sun, the shop was nowhere
to be found with stomachs rumbling in despair. So they pass by this little hut,
not exactly a hut but a small little shop next to a row of shop houses in a
housing area. It was packed but not as packed as the day I went! He brought me
there two weeks after their first visit.
So
he was driving, I was being all emo because of deprivation of sleep. I get
really grumpy at times. Furthermore it was my first week of being committed to
work. With mood swings and stuff in the weather like this. Who on earth will be
cheerful running all over the park chasing butterflies? So we were standing at
the corner waiting patiently for this friendly macha (brother in Tamil?) to clean the tables and pass us our
banana leaf! Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE BANANA LEAF RICE? May not be a fan of rice, but this is and
always will be exceptional. I was so excited when macha placed the hot fragranced rice onto my leaf. Sounds wrong but
whatever. Then he brought us our gravy. I was mesmerized because there were
several curries to choose from. Have you tried; Salted Fish Curry? NO! Crab
Curry? NO! Fish Curry? Yes, but
it will not be as good as this! And last but not least, Chicken Curry. Don’t boost about other curries until you try this!
No arguments can be made. This is so damn good! My mouth is watering right now!
Salted Fish Curry, Fish Curry, Crab Curry & Chicken Curry
There
are also side dishes, all kinds of vegetables and just add extra ringgit (RM1)
to get anchovies sambal. You might
say “Anchovies Sambal for RM1 so expansive. Not worth it.” Wait till you try
this! Wait! There are more, Fried Chicken and Bulus Fish. Friend Chicken is
crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. As you tear the chicken apart,
juice from the chicken spills out and it burnt your finger! ;P No, really, it
was too good that no words could describe. As for Bulus Fish, this was
exceptionally good as well. Ask my friends, I was never a fan of fish. I never
liked fish especially the skin. But I ate the whole thing on that day (except for the head la of cause), Daddy
purposely ordered one whole fish for me cause it was that good.
Fried Chicken cut into smaller pieces
Too
bad it was only open for a period of time. They are close a night. L
Banana
Leaf Rice lovers out there, give it a try!
I
promise this will jiggle your taste buds!
