Have
you ever wondered what life would be like after you’ve graduated? Ever thought
that it would be excited getting hired for your first job? Wear all the nice
clothes and shoes you want to work? Getting paid might probably be the happiest
thing.
In
my previous post, I mentioned that I was being hired. Yes it’s a happy and
excited news cause I wont have to waste time doing nothing and spending money
like water anymore. Nope, not whining about my new job. But.. Life has been
hectic ever since. All I do was wake up at dawn, get stuck in jam, Microsoft
Excel, copy paste, lunch, Microsoft Excel, copy paste, get stuck in jam again,
and last but not least, finally home. That’s my daily routine for the past one
week. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mean that I don’t enjoy my work. The
workplace is fine, I mean if given a choice, everyone would choose to be in my
position. Why?
First
of all, my workplace is a very free kinda workplace where people enjoy their
work with no pressure at all, I swear. My colleagues do whatever they want,
even playing Ping Pong. Can you imagine having a Ping Pong table in the middle
of your workplace? Besides, colleagues come and go in anytime they want and
they can have their breaks at anytime of the day. How cool is that?!
People
walk in and out, and they might even disappear into thin air. It was my first
week, so I was kind of being discipline and all, so while I was working, I
noticed some of them were nowhere to be seen. Guess where they went? Some went
to have a little break and some, I don’t even have any idea where they went.
And I was amazed that some of them even chat through the whole time at work,
not even placing their hands on the computers. Freedom at workplace, perhaps.
And no one keeps track of whatever you’re doing with your computer. Yes, no
pressure at all. Imagine how fun life would be if all the companies are like
that?
I
managed to make some friends. Only some because well, I am reserved and
demure. Therefore, I don’t usually make
the first move. And I don’t like to be noticed and be in the limelight. If some
of you happen to be my colleague, sorry that I did not take the initiative to
talk to you. Its my nature and I strangely behave like that. It will take time
for me to adapt. Perhaps a month or two. I will try to communicate. J
This
post came a little earlier cause I am afraid that I might get too tired after
work tomorrow. Haven’t had myself adapted to waking up early yet. It will
definitely be better sooner. Hope everything goes on well for me,
fingers-crossed.
Good
night!
